The Story

Before you play, here is the world your adventure takes place in.

Gavin, a former police officer and chief of the investigation division, was hunting Jeff — the man behind a string of serial murders — three years ago. During the investigation, Jeff kidnapped and killed Gavin’s daughter. Unable to contain his rage, Gavin arrested Jeff by force, but his methods broke police rules. On top of that, there was not enough evidence to convict him. Jeff was found not guilty, released, and vanished. Unable to accept this, Gavin quit the police and swore to avenge his daughter. For years since, he has been gathering evidence against Jeff and searching for a lead.

Recently, those years of investigation finally paid off, and he obtained new information. For the past few weeks, Gavin has been looking into a series of missing-person cases to learn more about Jeff, who has not made a move in three years. Gavin knows exactly how Jeff operates, but having lost his badge, he has to catch this serial killer without police help. Only one option remains: to become a hostage himself. It is extremely dangerous — but by finding Jeff’s next target and disguising himself as the victim, he can let Jeff abduct him and lead him straight to the hideout. It is the best chance he has.

Before carrying out his plan, Gavin contacted Nathan, his best friend from his police days. He explained the dangerous plan and asked Nathan to have officers ready to move in the moment he managed to get inside Jeff’s lair and send out his location.

Gavin also hid items in the soles of his custom shoes — things that would help him escape. The most important was a police communicator that can send his location even in an emergency and reach Nathan, so officers can storm the scene and arrest the killer. He also managed to bring a small flashlight.

Gavin has only one goal: to avenge his daughter. To do that, he must corner Jeff and find proof, no matter what, that Jeff killed her.
